Isao Tomita released this album in 1978, and it takes space as its subject, a theme that Tomita and his Moog is definitely suited for. Possibly because the classical works are interpreted and performed using synthesizers, Tomita felt the need to descriptively outline his vision for each song, and how they fit into the greater themes coherently. Kosmos is a unique album for the sound design, and Tomita’s efforts to create new ones is what makes it very interesting.
