Tangerine Dream – Rubycon

One of Tangerine Dream’s most popular records, Rubycon is standard fare from the electronic bands heyday in the 1970’s. A seminal electronic album, it establishes a setting and remains in it throughout the course of the album, which is only divided into two sides with no track listings. Very atmospheric, if relatively primitive in the tools used, but there are a lot of cool sounds on this record. My copy also came with a custom sketching of the creepy album label from the previous owner, and if he was devoted enough to sketch out the album label on a piece of cardboard, you can be he wore the grooves out on this record. There is a lot of static but I can’t complain for $0.50, and this usually sells for much more.
