Sweetnighter is a very good jazz record from 1973. The longer songs, like Boogie Woogie Waltz and 125 Street Congress, are extended grooves with great performances by Wayne Shorter and Miroslav Vitous, though its Andrew White on electric bass that is better suited Zawinul’s desire to steer the group in a funky direction, and on the next album would be replaced by Alphonso Johnson. This would also be the last album that founding member Vitous would participate in. Non-Stop Home is also an awesome track. Definitely a good pick!
